How Digiway Verifies Merchants and Their Businesses
Digiway uses a proportionate merchant-verification process to understand who is applying, whether the business is genuine and whether the requested payment service is suitable. Final onboarding remains subject to the relevant payment provider's independent review.
What We Verify
Checks are completed by Digiway and/or approved service partners, appropriate to the business type and risk profile
Business & Authorised Person
Legal business name, constitution, registered and operating addresses, website or sales channel, business activity, expected transaction profile, ownership and authorised-person details.
PAN, GST & Identity
PAN and GSTIN details may be validated through authorised verification sources and checked against the application. Any Aadhaar-based route is lawful, voluntary and consent-based, with an alternative identity-document route available.
Bank Account
The settlement or payout account is checked using the account holder name, account number, IFSC and suitable bank evidence. A mismatch or third-party account is referred for review.
Correspondence Address
Digiway may send a trackable letter through India Post and require a controlled acknowledgement. Delivery corroborates that correspondence reaches the declared address; it does not by itself prove title, tenancy or possession.
Physical & Business Verification
Where required by the risk profile or a service partner, an approved agency may visit the declared premises after reasonable notice to check the contact, signage, nature of operations and address consistency.
Review & Decision
Digiway reviews the combined results, resolves material discrepancies and submits relevant information to the selected service partner. Onboarding may be declined, paused or made subject to further documents.
The Verification Journey
What happens from application to decision
Submit Your Details
Provide business, owner and authorised-person information along with supporting records appropriate to your business type.
Identity & Account Checks
Complete identity, PAN, GSTIN and bank-account checks through approved verification methods.
Address & Premises
Complete correspondence-address confirmation and, where required by risk or partner policy, physical business verification.
Partner Decision
Resolve any discrepancies and await the relevant service partner's final onboarding decision under its own policy.
Ongoing Review and Data Safeguards
Verification is not a one-time event, and the data collected is handled to a documented standard
Six-Month and Trigger-Based Refresh
Digiway may conduct an initial post-onboarding review within six months. Fresh verification follows the merchant's risk profile, an identified change, an expiring record, an incident or partner policy — not an inflexible rule for every merchant.
What Counts as a Trigger
A change in ownership, directors, address, bank account, business model, website, products, transaction pattern or regulatory status prompts a fresh review.
How Verification Data Is Used
For onboarding, fraud and risk controls, partner due diligence, support, audit and legal obligations. We collect only what is necessary, restrict access, use approved processors and retain records for a documented lawful period.
Your Responsibility
Merchants must provide accurate, current information and promptly report material changes. Never send an OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV, password or biometric to Digiway through any channel.
